Pies, pies, and more pies!

Wouldn’t the world be a much better place if we were surrounded by savoury or sweet treats?

But pies are just one of the many things you can learn if you join a Pastry Baking Class in Singapore.

What Makes a Pastry Baking Class Such a Huge Hit?

Pastry Baking ClassesSingapore is positioning itself as not only the centre of commerce in Asia but one of the best places to get the best food.

Moreover, if you can surely notice, there are already nationalities here.

The different cultures and culinary skills are sure to give us a myriad of ways how to prepare and bake pastries.

Another reason is for commerce. Let’s face it.

More people are digging on desserts and food they can best pair with their coffees, teas, and all sorts of beverages.

They’re also looking for ways to cut back their eating time by dining on filling food they can consume in a few seconds (think of mutton pie or Thai’s kratong tong).

They already have meat and some veggies all placed in a tiny cup.

Pastry baking is also a good way to bond with friends, colleagues, and family, especially with your kids.

You can even find pastry baking classes that are geared toward them. If you think pastries are all fat and butter, then you’re wrong.

There are many ways on how to make them healthy, particularly in your choice of ingredients. You can learn all this when you enrol in a class.

Come Learn Pastry Baking as a Hobby! How to Choose a Class?

Pastry Baking ClassesIf you’re interested, then one of the first things you need to ask is how much time you can devote to the classes.

There are recreational or domestic classes, and often they are very short, lasting for only a couple of days or weeks.

Some are good for only a few hours, and you can already create two or three types of pastries (usually of the same category such as 2 types of pudding).

If you’re planning to enrol in a professional training centre or school, you may apply as a part-time or a full-time student.

Part-time classes are only for around 2 to 3 days per week and only for around 3 to 4 hours.

Normally they are scheduled at night so you can still attend to other things such as work.

However, the classes may extend until the weekends when you’ll spend the whole day in school.

On the other hand, full-time students of pastry baking classes may be required to spend 8 hours, with the time divided between classroom instruction and hands-on training in the kitchen.

It may be very tiresome as it may take you one year to complete the course, but you’ll benefit from the wider coverage and more pastries you can make. Most of all, you’ll get a diploma or a certificate.

It’s also possible to get other kinds of training besides pastries in one course.

For example, if you study desserts, pastries and cake baking may be taught as well.

Pastry baking classes are so incredibly diverse as well.

An entire class can be solely divided into tarts and eggless pastries. Some classes may also include related lessons such as bread, cakes, rolls, and pizzas.

Thus, besides wolfing down on tarts, you can have a share of mango sponge cakes or classic blueberry cheesecakes.
